OVERCAST
STR:4 INT:7 SPD:9 END:6 RNK:4.5 CRG:7 FPR:6 SKL:8

One of the only Minicon teams operating on the Giant Planet without partnership of a larger robot, these three have made a long habit of bitterness. Uninterested in construction projects – or simply without the patience to work on a building crew in the case of Longarm - the Giant Planet Minicon Team roam abandoned sections of the world-city engaging their destructive impulses, and occasionally raiding work sites to steal supplies.

HEAVY LOAD
Minicon Decepticon
( Came with Menasor. Had no bio of his own. )

MENASOR
Decepticon
STR:9 INT:8.5 SPD:7.5 END:8 RNK:8 CRG:9 FPR:9.5 SKL:9

Menasor knows the power of the Giant Planet. He burns with jealousy of the power and glory of Metroplex, and is disgusted that the leader of the Giant Planet uses all of the power at his disposal only for peace. Menasor has waited centuries for the arrival of an ally like Megatron - a true leader with the wisdom to know the true purpose of power. With the power of the Decepticons at his back, he hopes to overthrow Metroplex and turn the Giant Planet into what it was always meant to be - a conquering war world at the centre of a galactic empire!

Menasor, like Repugnus and others, is another creative use of an older Transformers name. The original Menasor was actually the name of a giant super-robot that was created when five other smaller robots combined to merge into the larger form. It's fitting, since the current Cybertron version of Menasor is from Gigantion, the Giant Planet. The differences far outweigh the similarities - for even though the old Menasor was also a Decepticon, he was made up of four different racing vehicles and a semi-truck!

METROPLEX
Autobot
STR:?? INT:9 SPD:7 END:9.5 RNK:10 CRG:10 FPR:8 SKL:??

Massive, quiet, and extremely protective of his home and its inhabitants, Metroplex is a kind, intelligent leader of his people. His huge size and quiet ways mask a swift intelligence capable of analyzing the most sophisticated difficulties and arriving at a course of action in seconds, though some have made the mistake of thinking him slow and stupid. He was, at one time, an eager and hideously dangerous warrior who developed his soft-spoken and carefully considered demeanour in an attempt to leave that part of himself behind. Because of this, Metroplex is slow to anger, but when he converts to combat mode he becomes one of the most fearsome opponents any Transformer has ever faced.

Like those of some other figures in the Transformers: Cybertron line, this figure's name originates from a character that Hasbro created in 1986. This name fits the leader of Gigantion perfectly, for the original name of Metroplex was given to a Transformer that turned into a city! Now that is what we call giant!

QUICKMIX
Autobot
STR:7 INT:9 SPD:4 END:7 RNK:8 CRG:8 FPR:9 SKL:7

Quick-thinking, intuitive, and totally loyal to the Giant Planet and its inhabitants, Quickmix serves as right hand mech to Metroplex. It is he who first confronts Menasor over the evil robot's betrayal of the Giant Planet's traditions, and who encourages Metroplex to avoid becoming involved in the affairs of the Autobots. He rarely fights, preferring his role as a builder and repairman, but when the safety of his home world is threatened, he never backs down.

Those Giant Planet Transformers must have come from Cybertron originally, because there is an ancient Transformer ( actually he's from 1988 ) that was named Quickmix too! The 'original' Quickmix was an Autobot chemist and he also turned into a cement mixer! Maybe this was the Gigantion Quickmix's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather!?

SIDEWAYS
Sidechanger
STR:8 INT:6 SPD:6.5 END:9 RNK:N/A CRG:10 FPR:8 SKL:8

A con man from the day he first came online, Sideways is a master of deception, mixing just enough truth into his lies to keep both his enemies and his allies off guard. His tongue is as sharp as his sword, always ready with another trick of language to keep his marks guessing at his true intentions; at least long enough to jam a hidden blade through their anterior power units.

Sideways is probably one of the most horrible Transformers ever! Not only does he come from a mysterious unknown planet, but he also pretends to be an Autobot to gain Optimus Prime and his team's trust! Then, when the heroes least expect it - BOOM - Sideways will turn around and join up with the Decepticons! What a scoundrel!

Sideways is a gleeful troublemaker, for whom chaos is its own reward. Though he has a deeper agenda than most suspect, that never stops him from having a little fun now and again, usually at the expense of some hapless Autobot. Catching someone as unimaginative and artless as Red Alert in his schemes is a bit of luck for the nefarious trickster.

SOUNDWAVE
Decepticon
STR:8 INT:8 SPD:9 END:9 RNK:9 CRG:9 FPR:6 SKL:8

He is known by many names, though Soundwave is his most well-known one, and the one that inspires fear in Autobot and Decepticon alike. One of the mightiest, most straightforward warriors from Planet X, Soundwave is nonetheless a devastatingly subtle plotter. He prefers not to stab his victims in the back only because he enjoys seeing the look of betrayal in their eyes. Highly skilled in the techniques of espionage, he never enters battle without the knowledge he needs to win. His companion Laserbeak - equipped with a cloaking device - is able to infiltrate even the most well-guarded facilities.

With a wink, the designers of the new Soundwave character for Transformers Cybertron included something very fun in the design of this enigmatic Decepticon from Planet X. The toy and cartoon version of Soundwave has an opening chest panel that hides his partner Laserbeak – a killer falcon-like robot bird. In the original Soundwave toy – which turned into a cassette tape player ( who owns those anymore, right? ) Laserbeak was a small, flat cassette tape that could fit into the tape deck in the chest of the Soundwave toy. As an added fact, the original Soundwave toy came with Buzzsaw – another cassette tape bird-robot that was coloured gold!

STRIPMINE
Minicon Autobot
( Came with Quickmix. Had no bio of his own. )

UNICRON
STR:?? INT:10 SPD:?? END:?? RNK:?? CRG:?? FPR:10 SKL:10

Many Transformers still superstitiously toss a small handful of Energon coins over one shoulder whenever his name is uttered, for the word itself means chaos and destruction. Once an all-powerful eater of entire planets, he was destroyed decades ago by the Autobots. For too long, he was trapped in the rusting hulk of his own body. Now, resurrected and redesigned as an unstoppable destroyer tank, he is not yet at full power, but soon all the universe will know him, and tremble.

The most evil entity in the galaxy has returned. As the black hole near Earth and Cybertron grew ever stronger, the dark life-force of the planet-killing Unicron was gaining more and more strength. After their departure from Gigantion, Soundwave and Sideways flew deep into the raging eye of the black hole with a new form for the ancient destroyer. Finding a weak pulse of his spark, the two forged an uneasy alliance with the mighty titan - giving Unicron a new body and a chance to destroy the universe once more!
