Armada/Energon 'Best Of' Scanfest

Armada #1, written by Chris Sarracini, pencils by James Raiz, background assists by Edwin Garcia, inks by Rob Armstrong and Erik Sander, colours by Alan Wang, Gary Yeung, and Ramil Sunga, graphic design by Paul Villauerte, flats by Henry Li, letters by Dreamer Design, and pre-press by Kell-O-Graphics. You know, it's a lot easier to write out the credits for the old Marvel comics, but we want to give artists their due. Y'know, unlike Dreamwave.

Right. Building. What's interesting about it? Aside from the second road from the left looking vertical, we're going to start our journey by complaining about the Hall of Justice or wherever that is being labelled in English. The entrance to Cyber City ( how hard is it to make up a cool name for a city? ) is also labelled in English. Or maybe the Transformers here speak Rigellian. It's a picky thing, but we wouldn't have missed anything important if we got a look at Autobot script.

Exhibit B. We'll let the CD go, because that's at least techy. What we want to know is: What the heck is up with Hot Shot's optics? If Transformers had pupils, that's what they'd look like dilated. Hot Shot in on something. Also, he's always like this, this isn't just one goofy panel.

Okay, Raiz, you win. I've stared at and stared at that red thing with the purple wings, and I have no idea what I'm looking at. Are they some kind of Cybertronian bug? Why do we have two shots of Rollbar looking at them?

And because we didn't start this just to pick on Dreamwave, we do like this picture of Cyclonus. It's nice to see him looking calm for once.

Yeah, we're starting off slow. Things will pick up as we go along.
