Cards That Came With Toys

Wayward used to have a lot more of these, but between convention giveaways and trading some for Minicons, she's got rather less. Anyway, scans of cards. They're loosely divided by era. G1-related is first, shading down to Cybertron.

Starscream - Japanese Reissue #22 ( Just the old boxart. )

Kickback - Japanese Reissue #40 ( Just the old boxart. )

Bombshell - Japanese Reissue #41 ( Just the old boxart. )

Shrapnel - Japanese Reissue #42 ( Just the old boxart. )

Shot Hole - EHobby exclusive ( The old Kickback boxart, but in Diaclone colours. )

Salvo - EHobby exclusive ( The old Bombshell boxart, but in Diaclone colours. )

Zaptrap - EHobby exclusive ( The old Shrapnel boxart, but in Diaclone colours. )

Tap-Out - BotCon exclusive ( The scratches aren't part of it. )

Quickstrike - Japanese version ( Any weirdness in the scan is because it's a foil card. )

Blinky! - Okay, Powerhug ( Kind of a freaky robot-mode there. )

Hydra - Lonely lord of a junk planet ( You can tell it's not Lazorbeak by the silver shins. Also the lack of pirate hat. )

Sea Team - Japanese version ( Actually came with the X-Dimensioners, which were purple. )

Air Military Team - Japanese version ( Actually came with the X-Dimensioners, which were black. More black, we mean. )

Thrust - Sticker ( The last survivor of Wayward trading or selling her Armada stickers. )

Shockwave - Tidal Wave in Japanese ( Also in his proper cartoon colours. )

Sonar - Trading card #6 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Buzzsaw - Trading card #12 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Dirt Boss - Trading card #21 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Perceptor - Trading card #33 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Swindle - Trading card #40 ( Basically just boxart again. When Swindle is fat, you know it's Dreamwave. )

Sideways - Trading card #45 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Tidal Wave - Trading card #56 ( Basically just boxart again. )

Unicron - Trading card #78 ( While all the other cards just had the usual bios on them, Unicron's was one we'd never seen before. Thus: "At the predawn of time when the universe was fresh and new the All Spark sent two powerful beings out to see how the cosmos was faring - these two brothers were Primus and Unicron. Charged with exploring the vastness of space they travelled from one end of the universe to the other. They discovered a region of space spewing forth pure energon, power beyond their infinite dreams. Primus could not wait to tell their father what they had found. But Unicron had other plans; a great desire welled up in his soul - he had to have it for himself. When Primus wasn't looking Unicron smote his brother and then cast his seemingly lifeless body into a nearby star cluster. And thus began the transformation of Unicron into the dark god, the black sinister side of the spark. Unicron is a massive moon-sized battle fortress brimming with thousands of gun emplacements and a gargantuan maw he uses to devour worlds. His soul burns with an all-consuming thirst, a craving that cannot be sated. He ultimately dreams to rule the universe one day, to dominate and control all Transformers." Someone get this guy some commas. )

Ariel - Superlink's Arcee ( Actually, this came with the Paradron Medic. )

Chromehorn - Superlink's Insecticon ( Actually, this came with Chromehorn: Forest Type. )

Mirage - Feel the boat love ( Alas, Dreadwing's card was traded off, but Wayward made sure she kept Mirage. )

Overcast - Big Autobot spacejet ( Was going to get turned into Skyfire; plan was scrapped. )

Rodimus - Flaming truck guy ( Currently in the middle of a repainting. )

Starscream - No, Energon Energon Starscream ( Another card kept on purpose. )

Tidal Wave - Decepticon morale officer ( Hey, wouldn't you feel better with that on your side? )

Soundwave - The Japanese version ( Not for any American versus Japanese ideals, just because that's what I got. )
